1. What is Anne’s Friends Online Directory of Therapists, Providers & Resources?

Anne’s Friends is an online directory of therapists & providers located in one place. The endless search of finding a therapist or provider you need to hire to improve the quality of your life or that of a loved one is simplified. But, Anne’s Friends is so much more. It is a website where people can find updated research, support of people who are experiencing similar situations and access to professionals. There are groups people can join, weekly video engagements with professionals you can ask questions of, and so much more.

Anne’s Friends is a safe place to ask questions and share your thoughts.



1. Why do I need to create an account?

Creating an account allows you to access the information and support offered on Anne’s Friends. It also allows you to search through the profiles of the therapists and providers on our secure network.

2. What information do I need to provide?

The only information you will need to provide is your email address and date of birth. People over the age of 18 years old are allowed to join. We do not require any other personal information regarding your health. We encourage you to be cautious when sharing information on a discussion board such as your location, names of children or other information. Please use extreme caution when sharing any information.

If you forget your password, click on the “I forgot my password” link and you will be guided through the process of creating a new one.

2. What will people have access to on my account?

The only people who will access to your account is the administrator of the website.



1. How do I find a therapist or provider?

Finding a therapist or provider is easy! Once you have created a Profile, on the left side of Dash Board you click on “Directory”.  At the top of the page there will be a map where you enter your zip code and select the category of therapist or provider you are looking for. Profiles of therapists  & providers in your area will appear. The therapist or provider’s contact information will be on their individual profiles.

2. What if I don’t want to scroll through profiles?

If you do not want to search through profiles, you can post a Job for a therapist or provider to respond to. You can do that from your Dashboard. Click the “Job” button found on the left hand side.



1. Can I participate on a discussion board?

Yes! Anne’s Friends is a community where people can come to ask questions, offer solutions and brainstorm with other people. There is power in numbers! We all have different experiences and we can learn from each other.


2. Are there expectations of contributors on the discussion board?

Be kind and polite. Treat others as you would want to be treated. Don’t judge.

It is ok to for Friends (members) to disagree, but everyone will be asked to do so respectfully. We’re not all going to agree on the same things and that’s ok. Any form of unkindness, demoralizing remarks, or forms of bullying will not be tolerated. Administrators can close down your account and you may not be invited back.


Frequently Asked Questions – Therapists & Providers


1. How do I create a profile?
Therapists and providers can create an account/profile by selecting the +Sign Up button on the top of the landing page.

2. What background checks are conducted?
In order for parents and families to feel secure with the professional therapists and providers found on Anne’s Friends Online Directory of Therapists, Providers and Resources, a criminal background check and a sexual offender background check is conducted on every professional who wants to create a profile.

3. What information do I need to submit?
All therapists and providers will need to submit a photocopy of their drivers license, and a copy of their state issued license/certification in the field they practice. Anne’s Friends has a private server that is not accessible by the public or any other domains.

4. How long will the background check take?
A background check will be completed between 2-4 days. Therapists and providers will be contacted when the background check is complete and to inform them their Profile is live.

5. What if a therapists or provider does not pass the background check?
Therapists and providers who do not pass a background check will not be allowed to create a profile on Anne’s Friends. If a person does not pass a background check, that person will be told in an electronic communication with directions to follow up with should hey have any questions or concerns.

6. Is there a fee for joining Anne’s Friends as a Therapist or Provider?
Yes, there is a fee for joining Anne’s Friends. Depending on the Profile Tier a therapists or provider creates will reflect the fee. See the pricing chart (which is subject to change).

7. What is the method of payment
Stripe is the method used to collect payment.

8. Can I be denied permission to create a Profile on Anne’s Friends Online Directory of Therapists, Providers and Resources?
Yes. Even if you pass the background check your request to create a profile can be denied. Reasons for such exclusion would include but are not limited to: inappropriate content, pictures, videos, any form of discrimination towards any person, a group of people, or anything slanderous. Profiles are monitored regularly for content and professionalism.

9. What if the therapy/service I provide is not listed on Anne’s Friends?
Anne’s Friends Online Directory of Therapists, Providers & Resources is constantly changing and growing to suit the needs of our Friends and professionals. Contact Anne at annec@annesfriends.com and she will assist you in the next steps if they benefit the Community.

1. How do I change my password?
If you forget your password, click on the “I forgot my password” link and you will be guided through the process of creating a new one.

2. Can I add videos, photos or information to my profile after I have created my profile?
Profile Tiers 1 and 2 can add photos and videos to their profiles and are
encouraged to do so. However, all videos and photographs will be previewed
and approved prior to posting. It is the discretion of Anne’s Friends Team to
approve or disapprove any material a therapist or provider wants to post.

3. What if I am experiencing difficulty with my profile?
If you are experiencing any difficulties with your profile, email
annec@annesfriends.com with a phone number and someone will contact you
to assist you.
